    The Office of Research and partners will offer an information session and ideas exchange from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 13 via Zoom in response to two active or anticipated NSF funding opportunities: the Smart and Connected Communities and the Civic Innovation Challenge. The session will feature an overview of the funding opportunities and an opportunity for potential applicants to exchange ideas. Partners include the Sustainability Institute, Translational Data Analytics Institute and Center for Regional and Urban Analysis.

As of 2019, approximately 60% of the world’s population uses social media, making it a great way to interact with your audiences. However, not all social media messaging is created equal. This session focuses on introducing the LIFE model for storytelling (which stands for Learn, Interpret, Frame, and Engage).
