Mohammed "Masud" joined us in February 2007 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Joydeppur, Bangladesh. He is enrolled in a sandwich PhD degree program between The Ohio State University and BSMRAU. Masud is working jointly with Dr. Sally Miller and Dr. David Francis (Horticultural and Crop Sciences) on evaluating different genotypes of tomato rootstocks for resistance against Phytopthora aphanadermatum and Clavibacter michiganenesis supsp. michiganenesis. He is also using marker assisted selection to identify resitsance genes in tomato Phytopthora sp. and spotted wilt virus. Masud can be reached at 330-263-3682 or masud.4@osu.edu. |
