Research Project :
I will be investigating the interactions of plant pathogens with human enteric pathogens in and on vegetable crops, as well as developing Extension communications to increase grower's awareness of vegetable food safety issues related to E. coli O157:H7 dissemination and contamination.

Fikrettin is the 2004 recipient of the Distinguished Young Scientist award, the highest award for young researchers in Turkey.
