Factsheets and Diagnostic Posters Diagnostic Posters In 2009, OSU plant pathologists Drs. Sally Miller and Anne Dorrance and Nancy Taylor (C. Wayne Ellet Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic (PPDC)) pioneered the Ohio Plant Diagnostic Network (OPDN). The OPDN is a member of the National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN) and unites diagnostics, research, and outreach activities from all over Ohio, including OSU and Ohio Department of Agricultural (ODA) programs into one organized and effective communication tool. With funding from Grower Supported Organizations, OSU-Extension and OARDC high end phase-microscopes with video-linking capabilities were installed in three of the 10 outlying branches (NCARS, Muck Crops and Western) and the Wooster and Columbus sites of the Department of Plant Pathology. These microscopes have allowed for live, real-time communication between producers, researchers and diagnostic staff. To assist outlying research station managers and producers with identification of structures observed using the microscopes diagnostic posters showing symtpoms and macro- and micro- signs were developed by Dr. Sally Miller, Melanie Lewis Ivey and Dr. Fulya Baysal-Gurel. We encourage producers, Extension personnel and educators to download the posters for educational purposes. Bacterial Streaming [pdf] ..............................................................
