"TSI"
A question that is often asked of us is "What do you guys do during the winter"? One of the many jobs we catch up on during the cold months is "TSI" or Timber Stand Improvement, in the arboretum. This involves removing any fallen, dead or hazardous trees along with any invasive sapling growth that has no research value. This picture was taken in December of 1985, but easily could have been taken on any winter day.
