While it may look like groundskeeper Jeff Reidenbach is trying to run over these Malus rootstalk in this photo from November of 2000, he is actually using a root pruner as part of a study by Dr. Ferree of the Dept. of Hort. & Crop Science.  Lending a hand is research assistant Bruce Williams of H&CS (left), and groundskeeper Bill Theibert.
