Change to OSU Site Licensed Software purchasing
Hi, many of you purchase OSU Site Licensed Software (such as SAS and SigmaPlot) through our office, using 100w's which we have forwarded on to OIT on main campus. We have appreciated your cooperation in sending separate 100w's for each product, for the convenience of OIT's recordkeeping. In this time of concern for energy and resource conservation, we thought it wise to investigate the actual need for this overwhelming amount of paper passing between here and Columbus. It turns out, according to OIT staff, that it is OK to put multiple site licensed products for multiple people on the SAME 100w, as long as the product(s) and person(s) are clearly identified with properly completed license agreements in accompaniment. So, in the future, beginning today, from any department we are happily accepting 1 100w for your multiple site licensed software purchases. If you are purchasing additional products or services from IT (from us), these must be on a separate 100w from that going to OIT. Please feel free to call if you have any questions about this slight change in payment policy.
Thanks and have a good scarlet-gray-and-green day!
