Tuesday's power outage and computers
Due to the planned power outage next Tuesday, January 27th (John Ott’s warning email), please remember to turn off your computers and UPS units when finished with them before going home on Monday. UPS units are not designed to last that length of time and a complete drain of the battery may require replacement. As a precaution, we will be shutting down all of the network equipment in the affected area starting around 6am until power is restored. Since Research Services is on separate power, our email and internet presence will not be affected.
