2009-04-13 - Wooster Internet Outage 4/13/2009

As you know, the Wooster campus experienced a significant Internet outage today (4/13/2009).  This affected Wooster campus users' ability to access off-site network resources as well as public access to our Internet servers.  The problems spanned from about 8:20 AM until about 3:00 PM.  OSU Network Engineering, Network Operations worked with AT&T and Time Warner to isolate and correct the problem with the line that connects the Wooster and Columbus campuses.  As reported my these telecom companies, the problem was a bad cable somewhere between here and there. 

Internet access should have returned to normal now.  If you find problems, please report them to us either online at http://oardc.osu.edu/it/ or call us at 3772 (330-263-3772).
