ESSENTIALS IN BASIC EMERGENCY CARE
We will be offering another American Safety & Health Institute (A.S.H.I.) ESSENTIALS IN BASIC EMERGENCY CARE class
The "Essentials" program provides the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for injury and sudden illness during the brief interval between the incident and EMS arrival.
This program covers:
Emergency Action Steps
Basic First Aid
Adult CPR
Automatic External Defibrillation (A.E.D.)
Blood borne pathogens awareness
Use of supplemental oxygen.
Students will receive a handbook and also an "Essentials Action Card" to use as a handy quick reference guide. Completion cards awarded for passing this class are valid for a period of two years.
