TRYING TO GET AHEAD IN YOUR CAREER?
Do you have goals for your job or your career? Need a little more education or training to achieve
those goals? Then apply for the OARDC Career Development Fund. This program provides OARDC
personnel funds for education, training and professional development activities related to job and
career goals.
Who's Eligible?
You are, if you are paid by OARDC as a regular full- or part-time employee and will have a
minimum of two years of continuous service as of the application deadline.
How can funds be used?
Funds may be used for such things as tuition or fees for courses, workshops,
conferences and other professional activities; for books or other required
materials; travel; or other related expenses.
How much money is available?
There is $700 available for awards this year, payable on a reimbursement basis.
Itemized original receipts are required. Smaller requests are encouraged.
Who provides the funds?
You and your co-workers and others who have donated to the OSU Campus Campaign and
have specified that their donations be used to support the OARDC Career Development
Fund.
How are recipients selected?
Recipients will be selected based on the appropriateness of the education or training
program in relation to the employee's job, career or professional development goals.
The fund will be administered by an appointed selection committee composed of OARDC
representatives.
When is the deadline?
Applications must be received by Friday,
July 11, 2008. Final selection will be made by
July 30, 2008.
Where do I apply?
Application forms should be submitted to the OARDC Human Resources Office, Research
Services Building, OARDC's Wooster campus.
