MEMBERSHIP

 1.     All of the officers shall be professional or associate members. At least one-half of the 
membership shall be professional, honorary, life, or associate members of  the American 
Association of Cereal Chemists. This rule must be observed at all times, to satisfy the 
requirements of Article VIII, Section 1, of the Articles of Incorporation under which the
Section is certified.

2.     The remainder of the membership may be made up of the following classes of members:

a. Sustaining members of the American Association of Cereal Chemists, Inc.

b. Authorized representatives of corporate members of the American Association of Cereal 
Chemists, Inc.

c. Persons interested in the activities of the Association who are not members of the American 
Association of    Cereal Chemists, but are willing to pay local section dues and attend meetings.
Such persons shall be known as "local Members".

 3.     In the event that the number of members included under the categories of sustaining,
corporate, and local membership reaches one-half of the total membership, a waiting list shall
be set up, and no more local members shall be enrolled until vacancies occur.



MEMBERSHIP DUES

1.     Dues shall be $5.00 per year, with special assessments when necessary. Dues shall be 
payable by January 1. Life members shall have all the privileges of Section membership but
not pay dues.

2.     Dues are payable in advance. The membership card constitutes a receipt for same. 
Members not paying their annual dues by March 1 shall be held delinquent and shall be 
dropped from the membership roll and the mailing list of the Section.

3.     Members of this Section who are advanced to life member status in the American 
Association of Cereal Chemists shall automatically become life members of the Section. In the
case of Cincinnati Section members who a~e not members of the national Association, conferral 
of life member status shall be by majority vote of the members at any regular business meeting
of this Section, applying the appropriate standards of the National Association for determining 
eligibility.
